UNDECORATING can be a chore. One that is easily tempted by "just throw it in a box, get it to the attic, and slam the door!" However I have learned over the years that taking a little time to strategically put a few things in order NOW saves so much time, $, and frustration on the "Front Side". SO here we go!

1) RECORD, take photos or video your decorations while they are still up.

2) PACK THINGS BY AREA AND LABEL THEM WELL, this allows you pop things back up next year and easily find what you are looking for.

3) USE PLASTIC TO PACK, saving your decorations from damage of ALL kinds.

Note: plastic round trash cans with lids work GREAT especially for wreaths!

4) KEEP DECOR FOR EACH HOLIDAY SEPARATE

Making it easier for you to get to each one as needed.

NOTHING BIG, nothing earth shaking, just a few simple practices that have eliminated hassles and disappointments for me and my Family while both decorating and undecorating.

FINDING JOY in creating a clear clean palette for the New Year has changed the way I look at undecorating....now i enjoy anticipating all the magnificent gifts of beauty from the gardens, friendships and celebrations to come.....
