As we’ve already mentioned, this week is a perfect time to relax and reflect. Reflect on loves and joys that keep us uplifted, positive and often keep us centered in hope. Can “things” make you Happy? Yes! But it’s not the things where your happiness is rooted. The happiness is rooted in the family member who thought of you and your love of beautiful vintage things at an estate sale. Or the laughter, fellowship and Joy present during a Garden Club Christmas coffee in your home using this gift. Or what about the powerful prayers and praises that were lifted during a gathering while once again using these snack sets. That’s where the happiness and JOY is rooted. In the celebrations, the friendship, the thoughtfulness and the memories of it all. ❤️ Catherine

Yes, in general the lion share of “things” I use to make our celebrations beautiful and meaningful do reflect the traditions of the season shared with loved ones over time. But I have to say that for me, I derive immense personal happiness from the beauty of a few special things just for myself because their beauty deeply touches me. Not everything in my life is for others pleasure.
